Capitalism today
Like many nations, the United states has a mixed economy that falls between Capitalism and Socialism. Capitalism can be seen in a paycheck when the government makes the employer take out a percentage for social security. For the minimum wage job understand that the federal government is for the legally enforced pay scale, but without it workers could be payed less. You will also see governmental influence in social welfare and healthcare programs as well as many other aspects of American life. For example the federal government regulates taxes and adjusts interest rates and provide unemployment benefits and more. The government has a role in a very large percentage of America.
Problems With Capitalism
An issue with capitalism is competition between business. In a capitalist society, businesses are constantly trying to best one another by using secret new formulas, or new advancements so that they may gain more costumers, and that means more money for them. In many cases, it would benefit rthe people as a whole for these businesses to work together and create a product better than any one could think of or create, but because they are only searching for personal profit, this would not work in a capitalist society. Competition damages the people because business is only trying to benefit themselves, trying to find the best and cheapest way to create a product that will produce more sales, rather than try to create a product that is more efficient and beneficial to the people.
Capitalism today
Rothkopf argues that during the 20th century the greatest struggle on the world stage was between Capitalism and communism. Capitalism ultimately won but what the 21st century will deal with is what kind of capitalism will win. America's success for over 200 years is due to its balance of public and private ownership. where Government provided Education, institutions, rules and research to empower the private sector to innovate, invest and take the risks that promote growth and jobs.
Problems with Capitalism
One of the problems capitalism lead to was inequality. While the lower classes are working just as hard , in most cases, as the upper classes, the wealth that each earns has a dramatic difference. Because of capitalism, the wealthy are able to get wealthier and maintain their social class, the poor must work incredibly hard to gain wealth and move up classes. Most of the money in a capitalist society is in the upper class, and it leaves very little for lower classes, although they are working similar hours and possibly working equally as hard, but without equal pay.
Capitalism Today in America
Capitalism in America is clearly not working. As of today, the distribution of our nations money is outrageous. Did you know that one percent of the richest American's own 40% of all of America's money (54 trillion dollars to be exact). This is a huge problem in America today. I mean a CEO of a huge company that doesn't work nearly as hard as a lower class employee and probably earns more money in one hour that the average worker does in one month. How is this fair in any way? Sure, some CEO's work very hard to get where they are and I have nothing against that, however the amount of money that they make compared to the lower working class is obscene. If we as a nation are going to be equal and justified, we need to shorten this money gap significantly between the incomes of the lower and upper classes.
anti-capitalist leaders
Kasama is a group of modern anti-capitalists with one goal in mind: start an anti-capitalist mass movement. they have recently been recognized by One Struggle, another large anti-capitalist group that is in Florida. they plan to continue on rebelling through the ideas the 1960's revolts set forth. Revolts like the revolt of Vietnam are what drove this group to where it is today. this is one of the largest revolt groups in new England, and continues to spread today.
Anti capitalist leaders
Pope Francis is a leader known World-wide for the religious standpoint that he presents. He has currently opted to convert every catholic church to anti-capitalism. with this, he hopes to rid of all capitalist societies. While this may be extremely hard to accomplish, he has the support of the entire catholic religion to help. this idea is known as an "apostolic exhortation", and Pope Francis helps to put into action immediately.

Anti-Capitalist Leaders
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a modern day Anti-Capitalist figurehead. As a prime minister, he deals with many problems on a daily basis. the most recently concerning of these problems was that of the faith of the youth. As Turkey's youth population grows, they are becoming rebellious. they go against the community faith, which is seen unfit in that country. the prime minister does all that he can to try to reunite the young with their set religion, which emphasizes positively over the desired religion.

Problems With Capitalism
The idea of Capitalism has to do with many things but one main topic is monopolies. Monopolies are huge corporate owned companies that are superior to others. For example, Coca-Cola or Pepsi would be a monopoly because everyone buys and likes the soda. Microsoft and Apple are other examples of monopolies because people will go out of their way to buy certain brands that are most popular. This is a problem because it excludes a lot of companies. If Apple is a monopoly then Toshiba or Samsung could go out of business because everyone would buy Apple's products. Because of this, companies around the world are going out of business or loosing a significant amount of money. This creates less jobs and unemployes many workers. Without monopolies, everything would be more equal and no one company would have power over the other hard working companies.

Russia
When Vladimir Lenin adopted Karl Marx's ideas of governing Russia, things went wrong. When Lenin took over Russia, people had very different opinions about his new system. A group of Socialists called the Mensheviks liked Lenin's ideas while the Bolsheviks rejected it. The Bolsheviks represents the majority of Russia's population which was why this caused so much conflict. While all of this was happening, Germany saw this as an opportunity to weaken their opponents. Germany did this hoping that it would draw Lenin back to Russia, which it did.

Disadvantages of Capitalism
The sole purpose of Capitalism is to make profit. When business owners are trying to make the maximum amount of profit that they can, some important of health and well-being of people and the environment get overviewed. Some of these factors are proper system of waste. Properly getting rid of the waste created in factories cost too much money for capitalist business owners. They do not want to pay any more money than they have to. Therefore, they are not going to spend money on correctly disposing of waste. Instead, they dispose of waste in ways that does are in no way beneficial to the environment. This then leads to things like global warming, that put the world in great risk.
Disadvantages of Capitalism
Keeping the fact that there is a lot of difference in social classes in mind, with a capitalist community, the government has little power over powerful business owners. With capitalism, monopolies begin to form. Once these monopolies form they then are able to take over an industry and then make their own rules for the industry. Because of the rules of capitalism, the government has little power to put an end to these monopolies, making the poor poorer and the rich richer.
Disadvantages of Capitalism
In any economy there is always rich and poor. Money is earned by one taking it from the other. Equality is impossible to earn in a capitalist society. Without the poor the rich will be unable to strive. Any capitalist believes that "anyone can be rich if they work hard enough" this however, is not the case. No matter what the community, capitalism will never lead to an equal society. There will always be a societal class reigning above the other. Differences in social classes is what had led to revolutions in the past. Capitalism leads to tension between social classes and that is not something one would want in a community.
